Business Intelligence Consultancy mayato Becomes SAS Silver Partner (May 2009)

SAS, the world’s biggest independent provider of business intelligence software, has awarded BI analysts and consultants mayato the status of Silver partner. The Silver partnership is the highest status that a company operating throughout Germany can achieve. With this partnership, the two firms want to leverage additional synergies and create greater visibility to benefit their joint customers. mayato will assume responsibilities in consulting, strategy development, implementation, and data analysis, while SAS will take care of sales and software installation.

SAS’ decision to award the Silver partnership stems principally from mayato’s industry expertise, such as in banking and utilities. Here, in-depth knowledge of the SAS solutions for financial management and customer intelligence is decisive.

But many years of experience in data mining and connecting SAP systems, for example, using the SAS Data Surveyor for SAP, also played a key role in the certification. The Data Surveyor enables SAS’ BI applications to directly access the operational data in SAP systems, without the need for the data to take a detour and first be loaded into another repository.

mayato unites 40 business intelligence experts under one roof, many of whom have substantial experience in the SAS and SAP environments. The company implements tried-and-true technological concepts, but is also involved in research (most recently, for example: “Data Mining Study 2009“)and tapping new technologies in the field of business intelligence.
